We are thrilled to announce that we have received over 400 submissions to the FoodTech Challenge! Coming from over 60 countries; our applicants are students, entrepreneurs, and scientists with incredible and innovative ideas to enhance the UAE’s food security. Our expert panel of judges are currently evaluating submissions and we will notify the top 10 finalist teams by mid-March.

This accomplishment would not have been possible if it weren’t for your enthusiasm to join our call for a more food-secure world. Thank you for rising to the challenge!

FoodTech Challenge is an initiative that goes much beyond a simple competition. Irrespective of whether you have been shortlisted for the finals, in the coming weeks we will provide you with ongoing information about opportunities in the UAE, including connections with investors, major UAE agribusiness entities, startup enablers, and R&D bodies. We are committed to providing you with all possible opportunities to enter the UAE food and agriculture technology sector.

Furthermore, the FoodTech Challenge has been featured in prominent media outlets this month; check out our front-page feature on Entrepreneur Middle East to see more. Finally, you’ll get to learn about Nicole Thorpe, Founding Director of Cultinova, and one of our FoodTech Challenge judges. Happy reading!
